I'm Lydia Lee – mother, founder of Yin Waters Astrology, and General Manager of Yes Chinaherb. Taiwan made, Australian born and living in the Blue Mountains near Sydney. My ancestors are from Shandong and Jiangxi in China, with a lineage in Chinese medicine. Honouring my culture, ancestry, and spirit to help and to heal is a dream come true.
I’m certified in Inner Alchemy Astrology and member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), with an MBA. Since 2012, I’ve worked alongside my family to build the most trusted wholesaler of premium herbs, partnering with industry leaders in Traditional Chinese Medicine across Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. With each passing year, this work continues to nurture my connection to my East Asian roots, my trust in nature, and my belief that life is Qi.
I started Yin Waters Astrology to integrate my findings after years of searching for truth, healing, and a higher purpose.

I spent much of my teens, twenties, and early thirties feeling lost. On paper, life appeared comfortable. And yet, I struggled. I tried therapy, yoga, self-help and sought guidance from psychics, shamans, and healers alike. Chinese metaphysics shifted my perspective. I’ve learned that it is within struggle where the magic lives. I've walked through many seasons of change to meet yours with compassion.
Traditional astrology often interprets a chart in terms of fortune – favourable or unfavourable – though I’ve found that perspective outdated and limiting. What feels more enduring, and far more freeing, is this: there are no poor charts. Only natural talents waiting to be lived, hidden strengths yet to be seen, and parts of ourselves asking for greater awareness, support, or structure to become our greatest gifts. That's my approach.

Chinese Astrology (Bāzì) brought everything together, reaffirming that the answers we seek are within us, when our inner and outer experiences are connected, balanced, and aligned. I apply Bāzì as a dynamic tool to make practical sense and strategic use of our inherent energies, beyond passive predictions.
Sharing Bāzì in person with my local community in Sydney, across Australia, and online with extraordinary people from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, France, Costa Rica, the US, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. Every conversation reminds me of how deeply interconnected we are, and how astrology continues to transcend oceans, cultures, and lifetimes.
