I'm Lydia Lee – mother, author, founder of Yin Waters Astrology, and General Manager of Yes Chinaherb. As an Australian-Taiwanese with ancestry from Shandong and Jiangxi and a lineage in Chinese medicine, I bridge spirit and strategy by translating ancient wisdom into practical insights aligned with what you’re seeking.
Certified in Inner Alchemy Astrology, I’m also a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), with professional recognition in Astrology and Business Coaching. I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and, since 2012, have worked alongside my family to build one of Australia’s most trusted wholesalers of premium Chinese herbs, partnering with industry leaders in Traditional Chinese Medicine across Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. With each passing year, this work continues to nurture my connection to my East Asian roots, strengthen my trust in nature, and reaffirm my belief that life is Qi.
As a practitioner and lifelong student of Bāzì and Daoist philosophy, my practice reflects years of searching for truth, healing, and a higher purpose.

I spent much of my teens, twenties, and early thirties feeling lost. On paper, life appeared comfortable. And yet, I struggled. I tried therapy, yoga, self-help, and sought guidance from psychics, shamans, and healers alike. Chinese metaphysics shifted my perspective. I've walked through many seasons of change to be able to meet yours with compassion.
Traditional astrology often interprets a chart in terms of fortune – favourable or unfavourable – though I’ve found that perspective outdated and limiting. What feels more enduring, and far more freeing, is this: there are no poor charts. Only natural talents waiting to be lived, hidden strengths yet to be seen, and parts of ourselves asking for greater awareness, support, or structure to become our greatest gifts. That's my approach.

Chinese Astrology (Bāzì) brought everything together, reaffirming that the answers we seek are within us when our inner and outer experiences are connected, balanced, and aligned. Bāzì is a time-tested system that I apply to guide strategy, beyond passive prediction.
Today, I share Bāzì in person with my local community in Sydney, across Australia, and online with extraordinary people from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, France, Costa Rica, the US, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. Astrology continues to transcend oceans, cultures, and generations. Every conversation reminds me of how akin we truly are.
